Flattening an Image

When you have multiple layers flatten you image to avoid issues while printing. 
Warning: when flattening the individual objects in the image it can no longer be moved or edited.  We advise you to save a copy of the document under a different name before doing this in the case that additional edits are needed.

Adobe Photoshop

Go to Select>All in the overhead menu to select everything in your poster.   Next, go to the overhead menu and select Layer>Flatten Image.  Click on Flatten Image (seen above).

Adobe Illustrator

Go to Select>All in the overhead menu to select everything in your poster.  Next, go to the overhead menu and select Object>Flatten Transparency.  Click on Flatten Transparency (seen above).
